At Live Escape Salisbury we are more than just escape rooms. So when we found our venue in medieval Salisbury we knew it would lend itself to some authentic experiences.

At the top of our Grade II Listed venue we have created a Medieval Tavern. Making use of the buildings original beams and vaulted ceiling. Not just that, we have built a bespoke bar which serves local ales, flavoured meads, wines, Downton Distillery Explorer’s gin and more.
Your two-hour ‘Medieval Games’ experience begins with a drink and an introduction to your characterful tavern keeps. (Players are encouraged to also dress up in their medieval-themed finery).
Place your bets
No matter your numbers, you are split into two teams to take part in a tourney of games set by your hosts.
These could be physical games (but not too physical). One such game involves a single player being chosen to sit on a chair at a distance from their team mates. Without standing up from the chair they must guide their team to throw sacks into a basket they are holding. The problem is, they are all blindfolded. The team with the most sacks in their basket by the time they’ve run out – wins!
Creative games may involve using your artistic talents to perform mimes. Mental games might mean testing your medieval knowledge and skill games could involve Quoits – a popular past time in the Middle Ages.
All the games are easy. Because unlike escape rooms there are no puzzles that will have you scratching your head or needing clues. Everyone on your team is on a level playing field. These games are made for merriment and to bring out your competitive sides.
A twist, however, comes in a past time often seen in the Medieval taverns of England – betting. Yes, you as patrons of The Plume of Feathers will be able to wager on your team’s success at each game. Once your games are over, the team with the most gold will leave not just richer, but with those all important bragging rights.

This is an experience for larger groups (8-16). The Medieval Games is the perfect activity to do if you are a company looking to bring your teams together to socialise and be entertained.
The Medieval Games have so far also been popular for those looking for entertainment to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and hen parties. Playing the games could simply be an excuse to get together.
We are now taking bookings for The Medieval Games online. Just a 20% (non-refundable) deposit is required at time of booking. The rest is payable 7 days in advance.
