Games masters
The role
The games master role involves more than just watching a team play. You will be in control of every moment a team experiences – and it starts with the way they are greeted when they arrive at the door.
Most of our escape room experiences are hosted in character – so it’s important you have a love of performing and you enjoy interaction with the general public. We meet teams in costume and do all we can to ensure their time is as immersive as it can be.
As a games master you will be in charge of the following:
* Meeting and greeting teams
* Briefing the teams on the games (the storylines/health & safety)
* Running the experience behind the scenes – offering clues and ensuring teams are having the best possible time
* Serving drinks (so you must be over 18)
* Taking team photos & sending to players
* Resetting games to our exacting standards
* Keeping the escape rooms & communal areas clean & tidy.
what we are ideally looking for...
If you love being creative, we want to hear from you. This could be acting, singing, music, creative writing, set design, script writing…
We are looking for someone who will want to help us with creating future experiences. So whether you are good at puzzle design, or handy at DIY, this role is for you.
The sky is the limit for anyone working with us. If you can prove you have a passion for the industry, have great organisational/management skills and are a natural with people.
hours & pay
The games master role presently has limited hours, mostly on weekends, but more hours could be available after an initial period.
Our opening hours are 10.30am to 7pm, 6 days a week. We are busiest on weekends and holidays. However we also have plenty of corporate events during the week which a games master may need to help us with.
Pay depends on experience, but starts at £11 per hour. Plus there is the chance to earn a monthly bonus.
