Office Christmas party? Meeting up with family or friends? This November and December we have the ultimate festive experience for groups of 6 to 20 people. Join your hosts at the Medieval tavern in one of the city’s oldest buildings.
Inspired by the success of our Medieval Games we’re bringing some Christmas classic games and some escape room-esque treats to entertain.
Part of Medieval Salisbury
At the top of our Grade II Listed venue we have created a Medieval Tavern. Making use of the building’s original beams and vaulted ceiling. Not just that, we have built a bespoke bar which serves local ales, flavoured meads, wines, Downton Distillery Explorer’s gin and more.
how it works
Half of you will be the ‘Frisky Foxes’ and the other half the ‘Randy Reindeer’. You will be competing head-to-head to win the most points and be crowned Christmas 2024 Champions.
The games will be a mix of physical, skill, escape room and creative rounds. Plus expect the unexpected with twists on classics like Buckaroo and charades.
All the games are easy. Because unlike escape rooms there are no puzzles that will have you scratching your head or needing clues. Everyone on your team is on a level playing field. These games are made for merriment and to bring out your competitive sides.
The Festive Spirit
This is an experience for larger groups (6-20). The Christmas Games is the perfect activity to do if you are a company looking to bring your teams together to socialise and be entertained.
The Medieval bar will be open for the duration of your Christmas party. Serving drinks from local producers like Dark Revolution Brewery, Downton Distillery, New Forest Cider and Downton Brewery, plus some festive themed favourites.
You can even pre-order alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at time of booking. If you have any particular requests, simply get in touch and we will always do our best to make your experience extra special.
We are now taking bookings for The Christmas Games online. The Christmas Games costs just £30 per person. Your festive experience can be booked online now with just a 20% non-refundable deposit. The rest is payable 7 days in advance.

Add on a Downton Distillery gin experience
As part of your festive celebrations with us you are now able to book either a gin tasting or gin cocktail making class to enjoy before or after your Christmas Games.
Hugh Anderson of the award winning Downton Distillery will take you on a foray into gin making and show you how to make your own gin-based cocktails.
Discover the local ingredients used to create the award winning Great Bustard Gin and sample the specially created for James May, James Gin.
The cost of the gin experience is in addition to your Christmas Games.
